The pew has been found wanting! The pew has become a place of apathy, complacency, compromise, and indifference! The pew no longer understands prayer and fasting, sacrifice, obedience, love, and true relationship with Jesus! The pew can’t prevail because she has no understanding of travail! The place between the porch and the altar has become completely unrecognizable! Because the pew is so unfamiliar with these things there is no transformation anymore, just conformity! The average professed Christian has transferred their membership from the fellowship of the unashamed, to the cult of comfort! The saints have fallen fast asleep! I will tell you we all share one common enemy and his name is Satan! When God cast him out of heaven he began to orchestrate the most diabolical conspiracy of all time and the end result has been and will continue to be the destruction of God’s most precious creation, humanity! So how is it that we have gotten to this critical state of emergency? How is it that we could be so blinded? How is it that we could believe a lie and be damned? We must look no further than the Christian pulpit! For two generations the American pulpit has watered down the gospel message of Christ and the expectations of the cross! Now more than ever it is time to AWAKEN the saints!

This is an urgent plea to my fellow men and women of GOD, pastors, leaders and saints! The pulpit is not a place for nursery rhymes and lullabies! It is not the place to promote personal agendas, become big businesses, or to grow your personal wealth! It is not the place for eloquence of speech and intellectualism! It is not the place for political correctness or a place for elders or others to dictate what must be preached from it! It is not a place for the faint of heart! It is not the place for you to measure your words so they may appeal to the masses! You are not called by GOD to tickle their ears! You are not called by GOD to make them feel comfortable! You are not called by GOD to go along to get along! You are not called by GOD to cater to nor subject yourself to, an oppressive anti Christ government! You are not called by GOD not to offend anyone! You are not called by GOD to prove your exegetical expertise, your vast intellectual insight, your great oratory ability or how many secular degrees you can attain!

Be sure of this one thing, there is a fivefold ministry and it belongs to GOD! If it was GOD that called you to be a part of this lowly group, then make no mistake, it is GOD who qualified you! You are to teach when it’s not easy, you are to preach when it’s not convenient, you are to prophesy when it’s not popular and you are to evangelize regardless of company or location!

Ask yourself this question, pastor, prophet, preacher, teacher or evangelist: What am I preparing (equipping) the people GOD has entrusted into my care for? The signs of HIS return are ever present! The clock of humanity is winding down! Prosecution and persecution are at the door step of the church! Compromise and complacency have been welcomed with open arms by the church and it’s clergy! The coming of the Lord is upon us and I pray GOD will awaken the pulpit from its slumber of silence to do what HE called us to do! Come on watchmen! AWAKE!
